Kristina can work from specific species, a bouquet with personal meaning or a looser visual direction. References help establish colour, shape and mood, but the final composition is drawn for the chosen placement.

Size and placement matter

Small flowers can work well, but a complex bouquet squeezed into too little space usually loses clarity. The amount of detail should follow the actual tattoo size.

Forearm & upper arm

Good for vertical stems, asymmetric arrangements and compositions that follow the arm rather than stop abruptly at the edges.

Shoulder & thigh

More room allows broader flower heads, layered petals and larger colour transitions.

Ribs & torso

Longer botanical movement can follow the body line, but the design needs to account for distortion and breathing.

Can you design a tattoo around my favourite flowers?

Yes. Send the flower species or clear references, the placement and approximate size. If several flowers matter, include all of them and note which should be most important.

Can floral tattoos be combined with watercolour?

Yes. Floral and watercolour work can be combined, with softer colour around more defined focal areas where the design needs structure.

How small can a floral tattoo be?

It depends on the flower and the amount of detail. A simple single flower can go smaller than a layered bouquet. Kristina may recommend increasing the size or simplifying the design if the requested detail will not read clearly.

Can I choose an available floral design?

Yes, when a design is marked Available on the Designs page. Once an original is claimed, it is not sold again as the same tattoo.
