Character-led pieces can stay recognisable without copying a flat screen image directly. Placement, silhouette and colour contrast still need to work as a tattoo.

Graphic and painterly subjects allow more freedom with shape, colour transitions and composition while keeping a clear focal point.
Custom projects
References can establish the character or visual language, but the final design is adjusted for the body area and intended tattoo size.
